Idle Barber Shop Tycoon is a free business simulation game. As the name suggests, it is an idle game that puts you in charge of a barbershop. Your objective is to expand your business by adding staff members, upgrading equipment, and making your shop beautiful through furniture and decors.

To do so, you will need to meet customers' demands by tapping the elements you see on the screen. However, unlike other tycoon games, Idle Barber Shop Tycoon also offers a storyline. With this, you can get to know more about your character, Mike Freshcut, his customers, and even his wife. 

How do you play this game?

In the Idle Barber Shop Tycoon, you will be taking over an old and outdated barbershop. As mentioned, your mission is to turn this establishment into a thriving business. To do that, you will need to serve as many customers as you can. The clients will come to you automatically and ask for a specific haircut or beard style. You can then tap the requested style on the screen.

Aside from money, your clients also pay you with reputation points—also known as purple stars. As you accumulate the purple stars, you can unlock new hairstyles, beard styles, furniture, and other items. To increase your monetary and reputation income, the game requires you to upgrade your furniture items. As noted, the game also has a storyline. Every time your reputation bar is at maximum, you can unlock a new story.

More than cash and reputation points, you can also earn heart, which you will need to progress to the next level. Be warned, however, that earning money, reputation, and hearts takes ages. Worse, the improvements you need to boost your income are costly. Moreover, there are different ways to unlock characters. Some you can upgrade by getting hearts, while some require reputation points. Finally, every mission drains stamina fast.

Overall, Idle Barbershop Tycoon is an idle game unlike any other. Here, you can experience your usual business simulator but with the addition of a story mode. The mechanics are simple, serve customers to earn what you need to unlock items, characters, and new stories. However, as with other clicker games, you need patience. Everything takes ages in this game, making the progression very slow.
